In June of 2006, brothers Tom and Chris Kiernan of Ideal Business Machines, Inc. took over the day to day operations of Professional Business Machines. As a result of this take-over, Alan Kluepfel was able to retire from his position as President of PBM Inc. Alan has remained on board as a consultant … when the golf course is closed.

The merger allowed us to sell an even wider variety of office equipment from personal-use fax machines to high-end departmental multifunction devices. 

Serving all of the Tri-State, New York City and New Jersey areas, we have five full-time technicians who each have over 20 years experience in the office equipment industry. We’ve also re-hired Ms. Zoraida Lantigua who had been the backbone of the sales force for 10 years. Zoraida had temporarily left the company in the latter part of 2005 but very soon realized she missed our friendly atmosphere. Our operations are backed by our own delivery person and a full staff of office personnel to address all of your questions.

Tom and Chris look forward to a long and happy marriage between Ideal and PBM. The companies complement each other very well and we look forward to servicing all of your office equipment needs.
